PPF is a clear polyurethane film applied over car paint so it absorbs stone chips and scratches instead of the paint itself. We offer eight options between 10 and 399 KWD that move from the part to the whole: half bonnet and full bonnet protection in RLX Ultra film at 8.5 mil thickness with a ten year warranty, full body protection at the same thickness, a 4 mil film for the windscreen against stone chips, nano ceramic protection for rims, American nano ceramic tinting for the sides and rear with 95% heat rejection, three stage polishing for paint correction, and a complete protection package combining full body PPF with tinting, nano coating and a 4K dash cam. On Kuwait roads the front of the car and the glass are damaged first, so bonnet and windscreen protection give the highest return on a limited budget. These are workshop services carried out by appointment rather than shipped in a box.

What is the difference between PPF, nano and tinting?
PPF is a clear film that absorbs stone strikes and scratches before they reach the paint. Nano ceramic is a layer that makes cleaning easier and preserves gloss but does not stop impacts. Tinting keeps heat out of the cabin. The three complement each other rather than replace each other.
What should I protect first?
The windscreen and the front of the car, which take the most stone chips on Kuwait roads. A 4 mil windscreen film saves the cost of a full glass replacement.
Is polishing done before or after protection?
Always before. Polishing corrects the existing scratches in the paint, and then the protective layer preserves the corrected surface. The reverse order locks the flaws under the film.

The choice starts with the area you want protected, then the film material and thickness, then the condition of the paint before fitting. Tinting is a separate decision: its rejection comes from the film material, not from how dark it is.

How to choose
- Area covered: It starts with the windscreen alone, then a half hood, then the full hood with bumper, fenders and lights, up to full body which covers every painted exterior panel.
- Film material and thickness: American TPU at 8.5 mil with self-healing and a ten-year warranty against yellowing, versus cheap PVC films that crack, yellow and crumble on removal.
- Paint condition before fitting: Film preserves the current condition, it does not fix it. If the paint is oxidised or has swirl marks, a corrective polish comes first, otherwise the defect stays locked underneath for years.
- Tinting: rejection, not colour: Nano-ceramic film rejects up to 95% of infrared and 89% of total solar energy (TSER); the shade (50% or 30%) is a matter of night visibility and privacy, not cooling.
- The windscreen: It is not tinted. If your concern is stone chips, the answer is a clear 4 mil film that does not darken vision or affect radar and sensors.

- Highways, blown sand and gravel-laden trucks make front-end chipping a matter of when, not if, which is why front protection gives the best return per dinar on a limited budget.

Fitting, hours and returns
Every service in this section is carried out at the NewTech shop in Al-Rai by appointment and is not shipped. The protection and tinting departments work Saturday to Thursday, 9 AM to 9 PM; both are closed on Friday, though you can drop the car off and work starts on the next working day. Return or exchange within 14 days of purchase if the item is unused, in its original packaging and with the invoice, under Kuwait's consumer protection law.
